From a young age, my dream has been to become a physician, aspiring to contribute to the 5.7% of Black doctors, breaking barriers and inspiring generations. As I look back on my childhood, I fondly recall the countless times I played the role of a doctor when friends and family came over. It became a passion and not just a game. My enthusiasm for this role led my family to giving me the nickname “family doctor”, because at the first sign of illness I would research symptoms, attempting to diagnose before the actual doctor’s appointment. My pediatrician played a pivotal role in my early inspiration. I would eagerly express my desire to follow in her footsteps at every visit. She would often inquire, “What do you want to be when you grow up? You’re still going to be that great doctor, right?” That unwavering love for medicine and the drive to help others have remained constants in my journey, which is why I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology on the pre-med route. After I obtain my degree at The University of Arkansas, my plan is to attend University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). I am dedicated to making a difference, to bring inclusivity, understanding, and exceptional care to every patient I have the privilege to serve.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I find great joy in various hobbies, including watching movies, spending quality time with my family and friends, creating custom t-shirts, volunteering, shopping, and writing. My values extend beyond my education to encompass my faith, my cherished family, and my commitment to making a positive impact. In my spare time, when I’m not immersed in school or social activities, you can often find me actively engaged in community service. I firmly believe in the significance of giving back to one’s community whenever an opportunity arises. That’s why I take pride in my membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., which has offered me numerous chances to lead and serve, further reinforcing the importance of community engagement and giving.
