I believe stories hold the power to connect people, inspire change, and strengthen communities. From a young age, I loved public speaking in elementary school and was captivated by watching the news, fascinated by the way journalists could inform, engage, and influence audiences. That early curiosity sparked a passion for storytelling that has grown throughout my academic career. As a broadcast journalism student at the University of Arkansas, I have gained hands-on experience in reporting, anchoring, and production through my work at UATV, where I’ve developed strong skills in collaboration and adaptability in fast-paced media environments. Coming from a small town in South Arkansas, I’ve carried with me a strong sense of determination and community. At the University of Arkansas, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while balancing leadership roles in student government, Greek life, and community initiatives that have shaped me as a leader and communicator.
I am eager to apply these skills and experiences in a professional setting through an internship that will allow me to continue developing as a storyteller. Whether working behind the camera, crafting scripts, or presenting on-air, I approach each project with curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail. My goal is to contribute to a team that values meaningful stories while gaining the opportunity to learn from industry professionals. Above all, I am committed to producing journalism that is authentic, engaging, and enduring.
