When I launched my freelance photography business, I knew success would only come through hard work and perseverance. With a passion for capturing special moments through a camera, I decided to turn that love and passion into a professional venture, approaching each project or session as an opportunity to grow and showcase my commitment to professionalism. I dedicated countless hours to start and succeed in this new adventure. Every interaction with clients became an opportunity to present myself with professionalism, demonstrate dependability, and act equitably with integrity and accountability to not only myself but each of these clients. I had to be consistent to exceed my goals and expectations as well as create a positive personal brand. 

Building this business has been about more than the joy and love for being behind the camera and the creative freedom–it required persistence, dedication, and determination to creating a trustworthy brand and an atmosphere where others can come and feel appreciated, loved, and beautiful. It is this dedication that not only allows me to meet their needs but exceed them. This has taught me a level of dedication and professionalism like no other. Through this journey, I’ve learned that true success comes from hard work, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence–qualities I am eager to bring to every future opportunity. Job shadowing has not only solidified my commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, but it has also equipped me with confidence and skills to become an impactful leader in my field. By establishing meaningful connections with professionals in my field, I have embraced lifelong learning and enhanced critical skills such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving. I had the privilege of shadowing a school psychology specialist, where I observed the complexities of student assessments, evaluations, and reporting. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of the field, emphasizing the importance of patience, adaptability, and effective communication with students and parents.

This opportunity not only sharpened my technical skills but also gave me clarity about my career path. It reaffirmed my passion for working more closely with children and supporting their growth on a personal level. Through observing experienced psychologists and counselors in action, I gained valuable insights into academic, intellectual, and behavioral challenges and how to approach them with empathy and critical thinking.
