As a member of the baseball team, I have honed my skills in teamwork and time management. I have not only honed my athletic skills but also developed critical life skills such as leadership, collaboration, and time management. Balancing the rigorous demands of daily practices, games, and academic responsibilities has taught me how to prioritize effectively and perform well under pressure. My leadership style is based on fostering a positive and inclusive environment where every team member feels valued and motivated to contribute their best. Summer going into my senior year I was decommitted by a division 1 university. Rather than this setback affecting me and letting it ruin my dreams and goals, I put my head down and went to work harder than before. Left with little to no time to gain another scholarship for baseball, I worked to better myself at every aspect in the game. After facing this significant setback in my senior year when I lost a previously committed scholarship, I redirected my focus and worked diligently to secure a scholarship to a prestigious Top 15 baseball program at East Carolina University. This shows my work ethic and drive to accomplish things. Rather than tapping out and quitting and letting go of my dreams, I was motivated to prove people wrong. This experience not only strengthened my determination but also enhanced my problem-solving abilities.
My commitment to personal and professional growth is reflected in my volunteer experiences. I have participated in community outreach programs focused on health education, which has deepened my understanding of the importance of preventive care and patient education. I am passionate about fostering positive relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable and informed about their health.
