Working in marketing was unexpected, but after interning in the field, I knew it was right for me. I have interned at AMPEX Brands for a few years, focusing on social media and guest relations for two restaurant companies. This role has been creatively fulfilling and has allowed me to express my love for photography.
I’ve learned how a brand shapes its identity and how to create social calendars. I’m proficient in Adobe programs, Canva, CapCut, and various social platforms.
With the skills I’ve gained, I look forward to a career in marketing. I aim to be a Social Media Manager or Marketing Coordinator, focusing on developing and executing marketing campaigns and managing social media strategies.
Social Media
At my AMPEX Brands internship, I create content for two restaurant-related brands with distinct identities. Planning social calendars for both requires creative thinking and effective message capture. I excelled in content creation and successfully planned social contests to attract guests and boost social media following.
I learned from my marketing team about campaign creation and cross-department collaboration. I also gained skills in analyzing social statistics to optimize post performance and grow the audience.
My passion for photography and editing has shaped my career goals. I aim to work for marketing agencies specializing in social media, confident that my creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are well-suited for a social media marketing role.
bellagreen
bellagreen is a fast-casual restaurant based out of Texas with stores in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. bellagreen’s purpose is to provide a delicious meal and comfortable experience to each guest while supporting organizations in the community that focus on making Earth more beautiful.
My work with this brand consists of organizing a content calendar for each month and creating social media content that engages with our audience. I make sure there is an Instagram story every day that encourages guests to visit. Most recently, I created a TikTok page so that bellagreen can participate in popular trends and bring new eyes to the restaurant while staying true to the brand’s identity.
I respond to guest feedback via email and online reviews to ensure that every guest hears back from us and that any concerns are addressed immediately. I work with my Marketing team to create promotions and schedule Eblasts that go out to those involved in the loyalty program.
Au Bon Pain
Au Bon Pain (ABP) is a Boston-based fast-casual restaurant, bakery, and café chain focused on high-quality food with simple, natural ingredients, emphasizing good bread.
I organize a monthly content calendar to attract guests, handle customer feedback, and ensure their concerns reach the correct General Manager. Since ABP is based in the Northeast, I creatively use existing content to keep social media posts engaging. I also gained valuable experience in organizing a shot list during a visit to Boston for social media content.
